It's kind of funny in a way, but seeing that prompt last round actually had me thinking of one of my favorite FFVIII fics from when the game first came out: it was on a now-defunct gaming site called The Gaming Intelligence Agency, and it was a fic about Caraway/Julia. :) I really liked how that story was presented from Julia and Rinoa's POV (and how it addressed the relationship between Rinoa and both her parents), so I was sad when the site closed officially. When I saw your prompt, I figured it would be kind of neat to do a fic about that topic from my own take on how it might have occurred...and the "closure" prompt kind of motivated me even more due to how Caraway and Rinoa's issues aren't really resolved in the actual game. So I ended up with a really extra-long fic detailing both prompts! I kind of had fun writing for them from what I remembered about them in the game and looking up their characters online (the FF Wiki is my friend, it is!). I'm really glad that you enjoyed my take on your prompt and Caraway/Julia's relationship! :D
