Haha, I'm almost afraid to ask what you thought the fic was originally going to be like then! XD

I'm glad you liked this fic though, I had a fun time writing it once the idea hit me. :) Luso seemed like the best choice as the main character given how differing his original game is from the world in Tactics...and it almost made sense that maybe Cloud would look out for him a little bit given his own past and everything. I'm glad you felt they balanced one another out and that I managed to write them in character. Hehe, and I just really like Meliadoul as a character (kick-a$$ female characters are always awesome! ♥) and her battle abilities in-game fitted with how I wanted the battle scene to play out...so I kind of just figured she'd make a really good choice for another character in the fic (and I figured maybe she would have possibly a more comradely/brotherly attachment to a younger character given how close she was to her own brother and her interactions with Ramza later on in the game). I'm glad you liked the story: thank you again for always commenting to my fics even when I'm being weird and worried they're bad, lolz. :D
