Class: Black Mage
Title: Untitled
Summary: A couple of very short pieces on Chaos-side, as per request. Chaos!Cecil; Chaos!WoL, and Kuja, because Toffee likes Kuja, isn't it positively shocking?
Characters/Pairings: Chaos!Cecil; Chaos!WoL; Kuja
Word count: 235 (two drabbles, and one much shorter piece)
Rating/warnings: None.
bitter end
Light is brilliant, blinding, all-consuming: it swallows everything in its path, without mercy or remorse.
He understands this, at least. It is not much, but the cycles continue turning without end, and he must find something, or perish. People are not honourable; gods cannot be trusted. What else can he put his meagre faith in?
Sanctuary burns white, burns bright. A false light, to draw people like moths to a flame: too close and they scorch their wings, seared by the promise of warmth.
He could have been one of them.
He draws his sword, and drives the blade home.
split soul
He always keeps his gauntlets on, so the wash of blood does not stain his hands.
He never raises his visor, save to eat: best that those he kills do not see their murderer’s true visage. The steel is not his face, but it might as well be: let them not see that underneath it he, too, is flesh and blood and bone, capable of tears.
He never asked to fight, but war - like his allies - is a cruel and capricious thing.
At least he can grant those he battles the mercy of a quick and painless death.
force symphony
There is an ebb and flow to the politics: secrets kept, secrets held. The tension is palpable, anticipatory, like the hush before the curtain rises.
It’s beautiful.
The stage is set.
Let the play begin.

POINTS
{Point Explanation: Points for this were a bit tricky...going by just the normal word count of 235, you would get only 11 points in total counting the 25% bonus fill. Getting the individual scores for the two drabbles (6 points each) AND the 35 word piece (1 point), adding those together (13 points), and then doing the 25% point bonus would bring it up to 16 points. However, looking at both drabbles individually (6 points each) and giving them the 25% percent bonus fill (which gives each drabble an extra 2 points, so 8 points then)...and adding the 1 point from the 35 word piece (as the 25% point bonus on that piece separately is not enough to round up to an actual whole number at 0.25 percent) brought the point total up to 17 points. Since there were so many different ways to approach the point tallying after I experimented with all of them, I went with the one that gave the highest amount of points to you in the end...I hope that's okay and sorry for any confusion! ♥}
~Now that my long-winded point explanation is out of the way...can I really say how much I loved these pieces and how really creative and interesting they were? ♥ I love how your pieces have such poetic imagery in them, they're really always gorgeous and incredible reads. :D
Re: POINTS
Also, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. ♥
