Faris Faris Faris

This is the part one of the holiday gift exchange, the one run at Holy Swords. This is the gift for Compass_ink and Mako_lies, consider I wanted to do something for rarer characters and they both liked Faris so. Faris. Decided to make it twice as good if I'm going to do it for two people!

Categories: no lineart, hardcore shading, hardcore background, but then I kinda gave up on the hair
Description: Compass_lies and Mako_ink! (;p) love you folks
Rating/warnings: utter inability to figure out what Amano was trying to design so started to make thingd up. omitting game CG face and going for a face I think faris would have - strong jawline, Germanic, broad, freckled ans sunburned to the max. also I suck at curly hair.

Oh wow...that is an absolutely amazing picture of Faris! I think you captured her character really well, the design and face shape is awesome--and the coloring is amazing too! It's really stunning. ♥ :D

Oh wow, this is gorgeous! It's different than how Faris usually looks in my head, but I really like the reasoning you put into her features (and definitely yes on the sunburn; no way a sailor would be as pale as the CGs). And I really love the way her coat and scarf look; the detail is lovely.

I took a risk here, consider that I've got a history of roughing up characters that I simply don't understand why they looked so dainty in canon. (Let's just say some are very poorly received haha). IDK if it's a bit rude when I do gifts like this, so if you would've preferred a more safe approach don't be embarrassed to let me know!
