Also, if you've checked airship_lounge lately, zerrat put up a poll on a beta-system for ff_land, and it seems like quite a few people are interested, so I'm going to put beta-reader sign-ups here as well.

If you're interested in being a beta-reader, fill in the form and leave it in a comment below so writers can ask you to beta for them. I figure you might not want to leave your contact details in a comment, so writers/beta-readers can work out a way to contact each other on their own.

I imagine I'll be fine with characterization for characters from the fandoms I listed above. Even if you send me something from a fandom I'm less familiar with, I can at least tell you if your story makes sense, if things happen that don't seem to make sense, if your plot could use some work, etc.

Aspects you're willing to beta for: Anything. At the very least, even if I'm not familiar with the game, I can pick out any typos or awkward or ambiguous sentences I find. If you need help with plot or characterization or just need advice, though, let me know and I'll try my best! But the one thing I'm pretty much useless for is canon fact-checking -- I'm horrible with canon details such as timelines, backstories, etc. so I won't be able to pick up on any details that don't fit the timeline of the game or that contradict something mentioned in game. I just can't hold stuff like that straight in my mind.
