Back in Game 2 I had started a little writing prompt challenge for myself where I would write a short character introspective story for each of the main installment Final Fantasy games (the word prompt was "smile"). Lolz, I made it to a grand total of two stories then. O_O; But, I actually managed to continue the idea for at least one more fic! ...And this one isn't about a dead character this time, haha! I have no idea if I'll continue to just randomly post fics for this prompt or not, but I guess they're kind of like a "Smile Series" or something now. O_o

Summary: A fic focusing on two different games of hide-and-seek Edge plays. Pre-Final Fantasy IV and then post-FFIV: The After Years.
Characters/Pairings: Edge is the main focus of both "parts": the first part is with him as a young child and his attendant at Eblan Castle, while the second part focuses on him and Cuore after the ending of The After Years. Rydia, Edge's parents, and Rubicante are mentioned. Pairing-wise: if you squint *really* hard you might be able to interpret it as Edge x Rydia.
