Summary: What if Ellone had succeeded in changing the past, and Squall had grown up with Laguna in Esthar? What would happen to the world without its Legendary SeeD - who would step in and fill the void? Seifer-centric AU.
This chapter: Seifer, Zell, and Selphie make it to Timber for their first mission, but things definitely don't go as planned, for anyone.

Rating/warnings: PG-13, expected to eventually go up to R. Seifer is a foul-mouthed jerk, and his thought patterns reflect this -- any Zell-bashing present is purely the notion of the character, not the opinions of the author. ^^
Notes: I uh, got a little side-tracked for like...a year, midway through that chapter. Whoops. I have no class this summer, though, so hopefully I can try to make up for lost time. All links take you to AO3.

Summary: Zell is ecstatic about the Garden Festival’s newest event – none other than a hotdog eating competition. Training begins, but when Irvine can’t keep his mouth shut, things go south.

Author’s Notes: I actually ended up really liking one of my examples for the prompt ‘Training’ over on Airship Lounge’s creative workshop, so I decided to follow through with it. Zell doesn’t get enough love around these parts. I’m also playing with a new style. While I’ve tried to eliminate any tense-failing, there will always be something I missed.
